The Purchase of my newest pair of shoes did not come without inspiration...I shall take this time to thank a one Miss Carrie Bradshaw! ( Yes I know that she is a fictional character derived from an HBO original series portrayed by the lovely Sarah Jessica Parker, but I'm pretending that she's real. She's real to me, so just go with it!!)
Any who...Here is the inspiration in the flesh..well sort of.
Now although the grey peek toes to the far right are super duper fly...the focus of the blog are the gorgeous black vixens in pic 1 and pic 2! I saw these babies in while watching Sex and the City on the big screen when her and big were apartment hunting and I just about died. The nice gay man in front of me just about flipped his wig as well!! Now although I would have children with these shoes, I thought to myself.."Self, no one, I mean NO ONE will have these shoes in any city,town,county or farmland in Indiana, so grab your $5 bag of Twizzlers and get over it and yourself!"
After I cried silently for a moment, I continued to watch my soon to be most fav movie of 2008 as I let the fantasy of my toes in those shoes slowly but surely drift away...
BUT suddenly! While surfing the net at 8am while at work giving the illusion of being a busy,busy bee I stumbled on it! My now new Fav website for shoes and "stuff" http://www.gojane.com/ OMG!! The vast array of shoes that my current state wont be able to offer me for at least 2 - 5 more years made the tears swell up in my eyes as I started to weep for joy ( yes it was certainly this dramatic in my cubicle at the crack of dawn on a Monday morning, it sure was) Its them its really them!! I thought of waiting until payday to buy them, i thought of doing a budget, of putting it on a credit card.....but by the time I got done thinking I had already put in my address and got a confirmation number....oops!
Long story short, I ordered 2 pair of shoes and shirt to make my shipping free, and I waited. My box arrived...I sat my daughter and my godson down for a snack ( me time! ) I went in my bedroom ( see previous blog for that fancy smancy online purchase) I grabbed the scissors, sliced open the tape and a beautiful, gorgeous bright light beamed down out of now where blinding me!!! So I closed the blinds and continued to open the box and pulled out my brand new, sex and the city, me and the town stilettos!!! Ecstatic!!! What a shame I'll be all dressed up and no where to go...I need to move to New york!
